Here are a few more pictures from Supercar Saturday. These were taken by Brad Sillars. He shoots for www.JDMChicago.com and also has a thread at www.ChicagoZ.com with more images from that day: Supercar Saturday @ ChicagoZ

Chapter 1
I can't say for sure if I knew I'd be getting back into a Supra one day. I know for some time I was against having a personal pleasure vehicle. When I did begin entertaining the thought of a personal car, I really only looked into MKIV Supras. I was generally aware of other vehicles but I didn't want to go another route before I gave the Supra another go.
I began seriously watching Supras for sale in late 2008-early 2009. The only local car which really drew my interest was a 1994 Black/Black Twin-Turbo Hardtop 6-speed with just under 45k miles and zero modification except for Eibach springs. The car was being sold through Sound Performance, perhaps the most influential Supra tuner in the Midwest. I don't know for sure why I didn't hop on it when I had the chance. Maybe because it was a Black car and I'm afraid of maintaining Black finishes. I doubt it was because it was a Hardtop because that's something I find desirable. In the end, it wasn't the car for me. A 1997 Royal Sapphire Pearl/Black Twin-Turbo Targa 6-speed with just under 40k miles then became available in May '09. I've always loved the RSP color and I already had a trip to California planned -- this particular car's location.
I traveled to California as planned and scheduled a time to see and test drive the vehicle. Below are some of the pictures the seller provided to assist in the sale:

After seeing the car and deliberating for a few weeks, arrangements were made for the vehicle's sale and delivery.

And so goes the opening chapter in the tale of my second MKIV Supra.
